What they are telling us on LinkedIn--May 2024

This month's LinkedIn poll results...

Trade Shows

We asked: "Assuming you do, why do you go to trade shows?" Person to Person Contact 51%. See new stuff 46%. Vacation on the company 3%. It is cost effective 0%. That's 35 answers out of 1,130 looks at the question. And I have to make a comment here...For decades I (Jim) have viewed trade shows as the biggest waste of time and money in the industry. This poll and feedback I received from a recent large show's participants only verify this. Over forty-five years of monitoring trade shows have shown a cycle of pre-show hope followed by post-show disappointment for nearly all exhibitors. Yet, they continue to go back.

Health is important. When was the last time you had a thorough physical?

Answers: 1,204 looked, 39 responded. I am current 62%. One year 13%. Two years 10%. Three years or more 15%.

Sheldon Cooper

We asked: "Contemporary and light hearted this week as 'Young Sheldon' has its final episode this week. How many of you faithfully watched?" 690 looked and 12 responded. Big Bang Theory 42%. Young Sheldon 42%. Actually, I work with Sheldon 17%. Actually, I am Sheldon 0%.

Rounding can make totals be other than 100% in each poll.

Until next time...
