Comment Print
Heidenheim, Germany, 17 April 2012 -- As part of its strategy to secure its future position by concentrating on producing high quality paper and its marketing, Spanish manufacturer of recycled paper Alier S.A. has contracted Voith to take over the complete maintenance of its stock preparation, paper machines, finishing, and water treatment facilities at its Rosselló site, Spain, for a minimum of five years.

Besides the daily maintenance operations, this performance-based resident maintenance contract includes implementation of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) that continuously provides the necessary information for preventive maintenance, shutdown management, and material functions.

Through this cooperation Alier S.A. also benefits from Voith Paper’s process and technology know-how and the pool of worldwide available process and service specialists for recycled fibers and papermaking. Alier S.A. expects this collaboration will provide increased machine availability and an improvement of the efficiency of the whole papermaking process.

Voith Paper is a division of the Voith Group and the leading partner to and pioneer in the paper industry. Through constant innovations, Voith Paper is optimizing the paper manufacturing process, focusing on developing resource-saving products to reduce the use of energy, water, and fibers.
