The Final Word by Helen Roush

Essity recently came up with a creative way to attract recruits. In a recent article from the Daily Star, it states that Essity is printing job ads on toilet paper and placing them in university bathrooms. The article states "the bog rolls, featuring job details, have been strategically placed in university loos in Nottingham, home to a well-regarded engineering school. Essity, the company behind the initiative, aims to hire graduates and budding talent in the engineering and manufacturing sectors." The article goes on to state "Gareth Lucy, a spokesperson for the hygiene and health company, explained: As we specialize in the production of toilet paper in the UK, it felt like the obvious way of getting our message out there. Our research shows that looking for a graduate position can be daunting, so we wanted to make it very easy and relevant to what we do. Anyone interested can scan a QR code on a sheet of the loo roll and it will take them straight through to our website, he added." What a clever idea! Helen Roush is Executive Vice President of Paperitalo Publications.
