Andritz has received an order from United Paper Public Company Limited to supply a complete OCC line for its mill in Prachinburi, Thailand. Start-up is scheduled for the 2Q 2022.

The PulpEyes in the TMP department are used to control the refiners such as quality control of the pulp as well as of the reject handling.

Paraibuna Embalagens has commissioned Voith to supply its Quality Control System (QCS) OnQuality of scanners and sensors to the company's new paper production line in Juiz de Fora, Brazil. Paraibuna is starting up its new PM 8 in Juiz de Fora in September 2021.

Red Leaf Pulp Ltd., developer of a proprietary low-carbon pulping process, and Valmet, Ltd. have signed a long-term Teaming Agreement to exclusively collaborate and pursue commercialization of Red Leaf's innovative ag-based pulping process in North America, employing Valmet's fiberline and other value-added equipment.

ANDRITZ has received an order from Jiangxi Five Star Paper Co., Ltd., China to deliver four PrimeCoat Jet coaters for online coating for their mill in Hukou county (Jiujiang city), Jiangxi province.

Valmet has on June 9, 2021, entered into agreements to acquire EWK Umwelttechnik GmbH, a German company manufacturing and supplying air emission control systems and after-installation services, and ECP Group, a Finnish manufacturer and maintainer of air emission control systems. These acquisitions complement Valmet's customer offering in environmental technologies and related services.

The Heli-Drum system handles a broad range of recycled fibers and efficiently processes kraft paper, carrier board, and aseptic packages, among other furnishes.

Botnia Mill Service, part of Caverion, will start as maintenance partner at the Metsä Fibre's new sawmill at Rauma, Finland. The agreement covers all sawmill process phases.

Andritz has received an order from Nine Dragons Paper Industries to supply two chemi-thermomechanical pulping systems for their mills in China. The start-ups are scheduled for spring and summer 2022.

The three lines will further strengthen the paper manufacturer's leading position in the packaging paper segment. The commissioning of the machines is planned for 2022 and 2023.

Kemira has opened a new dry polymer production plant in Ulsan, South Korea in May 2021. The plant produces high quality dry polyacrylamide (DPAM) products primarily for retention and drainage applications which are critical in modern, fast paper and board production. The investment is a joint venture between Kemira and Yongsan Chemicals.
