Valmet will supply recycled fiber lines for Umka Cardboard Mill rebuild in Serbia. The order is a continuation of Valmet's board machine rebuild delivery, which will be started up during the second half of 2021.

ABB has been contracted by Arctic Paper Grycksbo to install a new drive and automation system for its Winder 10 at its mill in Grycksbo, Sweden.

The aim of the rebuild is to increase production as well as improve quality and the ecological footprint. Start-up is scheduled for 2023.

ANDRITZ has received an order from Jiangxi Five Star Paper Co., Ltd., China to deliver four PrimeCoat Jet coaters for online coating for their mill in Hukou county (Jiujiang city), Jiangxi province.

Valmet has on June 9, 2021, entered into agreements to acquire EWK Umwelttechnik GmbH, a German company manufacturing and supplying air emission control systems and after-installation services, and ECP Group, a Finnish manufacturer and maintainer of air emission control systems. These acquisitions complement Valmet's customer offering in environmental technologies and related services.

Valmet will supply a large pulp and paper technology delivery to Klabin in Brazil. Kadant Lamort SAS, a subsidiary of Kadant Inc. (NYSE: KAI), started-up a Heli-Drum pulping system at Cartiere Saci, a leading European producer of 100% recycled shopping bags. The Heli-Drum system handles a broad range of recycled fibers and efficiently processes kraft paper, carrier board, and aseptic packages, among other furnishes.

Botnia Mill Service, part of Caverion, will start as maintenance partner at the Metsä Fibre's new sawmill at Rauma, Finland. The agreement covers all sawmill process phases.

Andritz has received an order from Nine Dragons Paper Industries to supply two chemi-thermomechanical pulping systems for their mills in China. The start-ups are scheduled for spring and summer 2022.

Kemira has opened a new dry polymer production plant in Ulsan, South Korea in May 2021. The plant produces high quality dry polyacrylamide (DPAM) products primarily for retention and drainage applications which are critical in modern, fast paper and board production. The investment is a joint venture between Kemira and Yongsan Chemicals.

Andritz Ingeniería, SA, part of international technology Group Andritz, has received an order from Smurfit Kappa Nervion to provide industrial maintenance services for their mill in Iurreta, Spain.

Global technology company ABB has been contracted by manufacturer of forest products, Arauco, to modernize its Licancel cellulose plant in Chile to deliver faster response times, greater cyber security, upgraded operator interfaces, enhanced process reliability and flexibility for remote working.

Valmet will supply drying technology to Spinnova-Suzano joint venture textile fibre factory in Jyväskylä, Finland. The facility, producing SPINNOVA® fibre, is the first step towards scaling production volumes to one million tonnes annually within ten years. Spinnova's annual capacity could be 50,000 tonnes of textile fibre by 2024.

Valmet will supply two Valmet Advantage DCT tissue lines, including automation system and three tissue rewinders, to Zhejiang Jingxing Paper Joint Stock Co., Ltd. in China.

Kadant Fiberline (China) Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Kadant Inc., announced it successfully started up its OCC system on PM1 at the Tangshan Jiluan Paper Industry mill in Tangshan. The new line has a capacity of 900 tons per day.
