Grudziadz, Poland 06 August 2015 -- Schumacher Packaging's Grudziądz recycled containerboard mill will be down until September or October due to damage caused by a fire.

A fire broke out at Schumacher Packaging's Grudziądz mill in Poland causing major damage. The company told EUWID that production at the site will be down until September or October as a result. No more details on the incident were disclosed.

The Grudziądz mill produces testliner and fluting, amongst others, with a capacity of around 130,000 tpy. Schumacher Packaging took over the site in August 2010 as part of the acquisition of the Polish Polpak Group. The mill currently employs 100 people.
