Papierfabrik Scheufelen to Shut One Papermachine
Print
Lenningen, Germany 15 July 2014 -- The declining consumption of graphic paper is forcing Papierfabrik Scheufelen to reduce its capacity from 300,000 tons to 140,000 tons annually. One paper machine and its associated equipment will be idled in the near future.

Papierfabrik Scheufelen belongs to the Paper Excellence Group which is based in the Netherlands. Scheufelen’s strategy is to increase the share of premium and high end papers and extend the leading market position of coated premium papers globally.

In the meantime, all existing supply and other commitments will be honoured, and Papierfabrik Scheufelen and LIG are looking forward to working in close collaboration with all stakeholders with a view to achieving a longterm sustainable business plan for the Company.
