Comment Print
Helsinki, Finland, 29 April 2011 -- Metso will supply a cooking plant and a fiber line upgrade to the Khon Kaen mill of Phoenix Pulp & Paper Company in Thailand. Start-up of the equipment is scheduled for July 2012. The value of the order is approximately EUR 10 million. The order is included in Paper and Fiber Technology’s second quarter 2011 orders received.

Metso’s delivery will include a two-vessel digester for producing 200,000 tons of eucalyptus pulp per year. The delivery also will include a wash press for the fiber line upgrade. The new cooking system will enable the Khon Kaen mill to increase its production capacity, use its raw materials more efficiently, and reduce its environmental impact.
