Kruger to Curtail Coated Paper Production
Print
Montréal, Québec, Canada, 07 July 2008 -– Kruger Inc. announced today its decision to curtail sporadically throughout the summer its coated paper production at the Trois-Rivières and Kruger Wayagamack mills. During these interruptions, the mills will continue their usual production of newsprint, supercalendered, and directory grades. This curtailment will allow the company to rebalance its order book by reducing the production of coated paper by 15,000 metric tons.

Founded in 1904, Kruger Inc. is a major producer of publication papers, tissue, lumber, and other wood products; corrugated cartons from recycled fibers; green and renewable energy; and wines and spirits. The company is also a leader in paper and paperboard recycling in North America. Kruger operates facilities in Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador; in the United States and the United Kingdom; and has 9000 employees.
