DULUTH, GA. (News release) -- Iconex, the world's leading provider of highly differentiated label solutions and low-cost paper receipts, announced the acquisition of Graphic Controls Transactional Media's Point-of-Sale Rolls division. Graphic Controls, based in Buffalo, N.Y., is a subsidiary of Nissha Co. Ltd.

The Graphic Controls Point-of-Sale Rolls division produces security-enabled printed vouchers and receipts, point-of-sale coupons, kiosk receipts and more. Iconex is acquiring the division's equipment and customer base but not any employees. "This acquisition is important and representative of our ongoing commitment to the growth of our legacy paper business," Iconex Chief Executive Officer Craig Gunckel said. "Graphic Controls' POS products will help continue our leadership as the low-cost leader of paper receipts, and likewise, Iconex's geographic footprint is uniquely positioned to provide world-class solutions to this new customer base."The equipment from Graphic Controls will be transitioned to Iconex's Morristown, Tenn. location. The group's products are used by customers in the retail, kiosk, banking, law enforcement and entertainment industries.
