CAMAS, Wash. (From news reports) -- A fire inside a paper machine prompted a two-alarm fire response Wednesday afternoon at the Georgia-Pacific paper mill in Camas.

The fire was reported at 3:53 p.m. at 401 N.E. Adams St., emergency dispatch logs show. The Camas-Washougal Fire Department, East County Fire and Rescue, and the Vancouver Fire Department responded.

According to emergency radio traffic, the building's sprinkler system controlled the main fire, but firefighters found small pockets inside. Crews took tools to the roof of the facility to gain access to the fire that had burned through the vents.
