ALABAMA (From news reports) -- An employee at International Paper's Pine Hill mill died in an accident Thursday, May 11.

International Paper confirmed the accident but did not release the name of the individual. However, Lower Peach Tree area residents where he lived said he is JaQuan Pugh.

International Paper did provide this statement: "On Thursday, May 11, an industrial accident occurred at our Pine Hill mill, resulting in the death of a team member. The mill team and the extended IP family are incredibly saddened by this news. Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones of our team member during this difficult time.

"IP is investigating the cause of the incident. Appropriate agencies have been notified and are also investigating."
