Ainsworth Announces New Labour Agreement

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada 10 September 2013 -- (Marketwired) -- Ainsworth Lumber Co. Ltd. (ANS.TO) ("Ainsworth" or the "Company") announced today that a new four year labour agreement with the Pulp, Paper and Woodworkers Union of Canada (PPWC Local 9) has been ratified by its union members.

The new labour agreement involves approximately 135 employees at the 100 Mile House, British Columbia mill and will expire on June 30, 2017.

"We are pleased to have reached an agreement, and we appreciate the contribution of our employees and the partnership of the PPWC union at 100 Mile House," said President and CEO Jim Lake.

With the ratification of this agreement, the Company now has new multi-year contracts in place with workers at both of its unionized facilities.
