Kingsey Falls, Quebec (News release) - Cascades is pleased to announce the creation of a mural on one of its Kingsey Falls factories on the occasion of its 60th founding anniversary in 2024. The work will be created this summer by the artist Nicolas Lareau, a muralist from Sherbrooke.
This project is part of Cascades' desire to be involved in the communities where it is established, in particular by beautifying the environments in which it is established. Cascades chose to create the mural on its Kingsey Falls Paper factory in the heart of the municipality where it was created in 1964.
"It was only natural for us to create a mural in Kingsey Falls, the birthplace of the company, in collaboration with a local artist. The 60th anniversary is an opportunity to highlight our values and our culture and this is what we want to represent through this artistic project," underlines Mario Plourde, President and CEO of Cascades.
"I am very happy to participate in the Cascades celebrations through my work and my art. Cascades is a company that I respect a lot for its environmental values and its international influence. », explains Nicolas Lareau, muralist.
A second mural project will also be carried out at the Cascades factory in Candiac during the year.
