West Fraser Curtails Sawmill Production in British Columbia
Print
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, 15 June 2009 -- West Fraser today announced additional lumber production curtailments at three of its British Columbia sawmills in response to continuing weak markets.

West Fraser intends to implement market-related curtailments at each of its Houston, 100 Mile, and Chasm sawmills. Curtailments will be implemented by shutdowns of the three facilities for at least two weeks, commencing 29 June 2009. Restarting operations is dependent upon market conditions, which will be reviewed weekly.

West Fraser is an integrated wood products company producing lumber, LVL, MDF, plywood, pulp, linerboard, kraft paper, and newsprint. West Fraser shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol WFT.
