UPM Raflatac RFID Business Reassigns Offices, Reduces Staffing

Helsinki, Finland, 22 April 2010 – UPM's Raflatac RFID Business Area has concluded employee negotiations started in February.

In accordance with the plan communicated in February, UPM Raflatac will relocate new product piloting from Jyväskylä, Finland, into its volume factories and closer to fastest growing markets in Guangzhou, China, and Fletcher, North Carolina, USA.

As a result of the negotiations, the number of employees in Jyväskylä will decrease by 16 persons, and 16 people will continue to work for the RFID Business Area in Jyväskylä. The actions are estimated to be completed by the end of 2010.
