Suzano Papel e Celulose Acquires Ownership of Fibria Celulose

São Paulo, Brazil, 31 January 2011 -- Suzano Papel e Celulose S.A. (BM&FBovespa: SUZB5), has entered on this date into a contract to complete the acquisition of ownership interest held by Fibria Celulose S.A. in the assets of Consórcio Paulista de Papel e Celulose (Conpacel), which comprises 50% of the pulp and paper mill, owned land, and owned and leased planted forests, through the payment on this same date of the total price of BRL 1450 million.

As of this date, the unit will be operated exclusively by Suzano. In 2010, the estimated EBITDA from the 50% ownership interest held by Suzano in Conpacel was BRL 250 million. The synergies will amount to a net present value of BRL 300 million and will remain captured until 2012.
