"This agreement was built on trust, opportunity and a long-standing relationship. It creates predictability for both Interfor and shíshálh Nation and will support further growth of our partnership over the next five years," said Interfor's Vice President and Chief Forester, Ric Slaco.

"This agreement is the outcome of many years of work by past and current leaders of our great Nation. It helps to build the prosperity of our Nation and our people. Interfor has always demonstrated its leadership and commitment to work collaboratively with the shíshálh people," said híwus (Chief) Warren Paull.

Details of the agreement include mutual commitments to annual forestry projects, a joint decisionmaking process that works together to achieve common objectives, and a process for ensuring that forestry operations are conducted in a manner that upholds shíshálh Nation laws.
