SCA Containerboard to Complete Rebuild at German Mill
Print

Stockholm, Sweden, 16 June 2011 -- SCA Containerboard will halt production on its paper machine at Witzenhausen, Germany, for 17 days, from 20 June to 07 July, to complete the rebuild of the last two groups of the predryer section, including installation of a new hood.

The first two groups of the machine were rebuilt in 2007. The planned rebuild will improve the runability of the machine and product quality. The installation of the new hood will also enhance energy savings at the mill. The project will not affect the output capacity of the mill.

Built in 1975, Witzenhausen, is equipped with a gap former-Fourdrinier machine; its product range includes SCA testliner 3, SCA medium HP, and SCA medium.
