Papierfabrik Schoellershammer to Double Capacity

Duren, Germany 12 Jun 2014 -- Germany's paper manufacturer Schoellershammer will expand production capacity at the Dueren plant by 250,000 t. Double digit investment said to create 85 direct jobs.

Packaging and fine paper manufacturer Papierfabrik Schoellershammer plans to install an additional packaging paper machine at the mill in Dueren, Germany. According to Schoellershammer, the PM 6 will have a working width of 5,60 m and would produce recycled fluting and testliner in a basis weights of 80-120 g/m². The capacity of the recycled containerboard machine, which could also take the form of a second-hand rebuilt line, is said to be approximately 250,000 tpy.

The corresponding land-use plan had already been approved by the city authorities. The PM 6 is expected come online by the end of 2016.
