Meadow Lake OSB Resumes Operations After Fire

Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada, 12 January 2010 — Meadow Lake OSB resumed full operations at approximately 9 p.m. on 06 January 2010. The oriented strand board plant had been temporarily curtailed because of a fire that occured late 25 December 2009.

“Everyone worked tirelessly around the clock to repair the damage and return the mill to full operations as quickly as possible,” said Parker Snyder, plant manager. “Most importantly, all efforts to put out the fire along with the work undertaken to repair the damage were completed safely and without injury.”

The Meadow Lake OSB facility is operated by Tolko Industries Ltd. and owned by the Meadow Lake OSB Limited Partnership, which includes Northwest Communities Holdings Ltd., Meadow Lake Tribal Council Resource Development Inc., CIC OSB Products Inc., and Tolko Industries Ltd.
