In this issue of Disconnected Comparisons, we evaluate Potlatch Corporation (PCH) and USG Corporation (USG)

The attached graph indexes these companies’ stock values and the PM40 to their 04 January 2002 values. A USD 100 investment in PCH on that date would have been worth USD 97.73 on 24 October 2008; a USD 100 investment in USG on 04 January 2002 would have been worth USD 330.51 on 24 October 2008; and a USD 100 investment in an equal weight of the PM40 on 04 January 2002 would have been worth USD 73.49 on 24 October 2008.
