Corenso Poland to Move to New Site, Enlarge Capacities


Tychy, Poland 09 Jun 2017 -- Corenso will increase capacities for cores in Poland. The company plans to open a new, enlarged production site in August and transfer activities of its Tychy plant in Poland to the new location. All jobs will be kept.

Cores producer Corenso is building an new plant in Poland. A company spokesperson told EUWID that the new plant would replace the existing plant in Tychy. It is scheduled to be opened in August this year.

With the erection of the new production site, Corenso is also planning an enlargement of its capacities. The company did non wish to disclose its current capacities in Poland and by how much capacities will increase, stating it was still too early to do so.

The Tychy cores plant is Corenso's only site in Poland. Last year, the company said it upgraded its equipment capabilities for long cores mainly serving the paper industry and started a new line focusing on the film and flexible packaging segment. The site has 25 employees which will move to the new location. At the moment, there were no plans to add new jobs, but it was possible that new jobs would be created at a later point, said Corenso.

Corenso describes itself as one of the world's leading producers of cores and tubes as well as coreboard and packaging board. The company operates three coreboard mills and twelve cores plants in Europe, China and the US.
