Canfor PolarBoard OSB Mill Takes Downtime Due to Fire
Print
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, 12 June 2006 -- Canfor Corporation (TSX:CFP) announced that its PolarBoard OSB mill in Fort Nelson, British Columbia, will be taking approximately two weeks of downtime, representing an estimated 21 million square feet of production, due to a fire that occurred at the mill late Friday night.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident and the mill's internal fire suppression system kept the fire contained while Canfor and community firefighters extinguished the blaze.

Investigations at the mill continue in attempts to determine the cause of the fire. Canfor is expected to undertake additional maintenance at the mill during the downtime.
