Ahlstrom to Increase Transportation Filtration Production in Europe

Helsinki, Finland, 22 December 2010 -- Ahlstrom, a global leader in nonwovens and specialty papers, will invest in additional capacity in transportation filtration materials at its site in Turin, Italy. The total investment is approximately EUR 17.5 million and it will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2012.

Ahlstrom is a leading manufacturer of filtration materials with 11 production sites across four continents. The company acquired a transportation filtration material plant in Binzhou, China, in September 2010.

Ahlstrom is a global leader in the development, manufacture, and marketing of high performance nonwovens and specialty papers. Ahlstrom´s products are used in such everyday applications as filters, wipes, flooring, labels, and tapes.
